My passion is for the industries of communications and broadcasting. Every day I fuel this and enhance my abilities while fulfilling my role as the New York Islanders radio color commentator for the team's full 82-game schedule. Multiple nights each week my voice feeds hockey fans invaluable game information while being heard live throughout the New York region on FM radio and around the world via the internet.

 

I am also well-versed and passionate in the field of public relations as evidenced by time as Communications Coordinator for the New York Islanders, a position I held following my graduation from Boston Univetsity in January 2013 to October 2015.

 

My time with the Islanders has allowed me to possess versatile skills in the communications field. I served as host the team's online broadcast content "IslandersTV" while also managing and developing strategies for the team's social media accounts. These strategies resulted in increases of over one-hundred thousand followers on various social media outlets during my time in charge. In addition to my full-time role in the Islanders communications department, I also served as radio color commentator during the team's road trips.

 

Prior to working for the Islanders I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University's College of Communication. During my time in college I held internships in New York with the National Hockey League and television broadcasters SportsNet New York and MSG Varsity. I also spent a semester in London working for ESPN America. Back in Boston, I was Sports Director at WTBU Radio while providing play-by-play and color commentary for a number of the school's Division-I varsity sports. These jobs helped confirmed my desire to work in the broadcast and communications industries while adding to my skillset through hands-on experience. These internships also facilitated relationships with a wide-range of sports media figures.
